Golden Mama is an important moment of the International Habawaba Baby Festival. Golden Mama aim is to allow the encounter of young future champions with mamas of athletes winners of golden medals either in Olympic or in World championship games, in different disciplines. Golden Mama will be the most important moment of the Festival closing ceremony in which many people, coming from political, sport and show world, will participate.
Champions’ mamas will tell anecdotes about childhood and growth of their sons to the team leaders participating in Habawaba Festival. Afterwards team leaders, after a discussion with team players, will choose the most exciting story and will decide the winning Golden Mama.
The award will be a sculpture symbolically representing Habawaba and Golden Mama. Furthermore team leaders will tell an anecdote about their path to become a future champion and Golden Mamas will award the prize to the most exciting story.
Habawaba Festival wants to promotes brotherhood of nations, so all participants in the Habawaba baby Festival, players, parents, coaches, companions, referees and Golden Mmamas will receive the Champions Passport that includes rules and values to comply with, both in sport competitions and in the day-to-day life.
Since the aim of this initiative is to teach children and parents that there is no difference between won and winners, an athlete that is in the last place of the classification in a single and team discipline, will attend the event together with Golden Mamas. This athlete will receive the same award as the Golden Mama and will award prizes to all participants.
During the closing ceremony a disabled athlete, winner of golden medal in Paralimpic games, will receive an award, together with his “mama”.
Moreover the youngest player in Habawaba baby Festival will receive the “Alfio Flores award”.
During the prizegiving a performance of street artists and fireworks will take place.
