Following the HaBaWaBa International Festival, waterpolo remains under the spotlights at Bella Italia & EFA Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) where the HaBaWaBa PLUS U13 is just started. The event dedicated to the older kids reaches its 4th edition: the main difference with the Festival is that HaBaWaBa PLUS U13 there are no mixed teams, but two different tournaments, one for girls and one for boys. Such as 10 nations are represented: France, Greece, Montenegro, Monaco, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States, Switzerland, Hungary and Italy. We have 63 teams participating in: 12 in the women’s tournament and 51 in the men’s one.
Yesterday the teams arrived at Lignano, this morning the competitions began using the new rules designed by the board of Waterpolo Development: the changes – which have given excellent results with U11 and U9 players during the Festival – are aimed to make the game faster, more dynamic and with less contacts.
