HaBaWaBa International Festival 2016 will start in few days. On Sunday 19th of June 123 teams registered for the 9th edition of Waterpolo Development event will arrive to VIllaggio Ge.Tur in Lignano Sabbiadoro. Among those Posillipo Coccodrilli as well: they won the last U11 tournament, in 2015.

“We’ll try to defend the trophy, even if we are not strong as last year – said coach Davide Truppa, who will replace the colleague Gennaro Mattiello as U11 trainer -. For every team of our club, U11 Posillipo Caimani and U9 too, it’s important to qualify to phase B and, most of all, to have fun in the competition”.

Are the kids looking forward to get Lignano?

They are enthusiastic about it. It’s the first HaBaWaBa International Festival for most of them, but they know what they will find there: as coaches, we have told them our experiences at Lignano. I’m very happy to come back too.

Posillipo played many different international youth competitions. What’s different in the HaBaWaBa International Festival?

In 2016 we were being at Tomo Udovicic, U12 tournament in Dubrovnik, that counts a lot of very strong teams. Lignano is different because of the atmosphere: you can breathe waterpolo 24 hours a day for a week. The kids are really happy to go to HaBaWaBa and to live a complete no-stop sports experience. At the end of the day they will be exhausted, but happy.

This year Paolo De Crescenzo is the HaBaWaBa testimonial: a reason of interest for all the coaches involved in the event.

I can’t be more happy about that choice. Paolo is a person I’ve always appreciated. His presence will be exciting for the coaches in Lignano.

Posillipo joined HaBaWaBa International Festival since its first edition, bringing a lot of people to the event: how many supporters will come this year?

We have 40 players: including coaches and supporters, I guess that Posillipo will bring to HaBaWaBa more than 100 people. It’s HaBaWaBa time, Posillipo will be there as always.
