Team Azur Entente are HaBaWaBa U9 Champions!!!

Team Azur Entente ASM-ONN are the new HaBaWaBa U9 champions! The Monaco squad (reinforced by some players of Olympic Nice) has won the U9 final against Greek Patras Dias in a crowded Piscina Olimpica, in Villaggio Ge.Tur of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Their match was simply amazing: in the final minutes, Patras Dias has a fantastic comeback, scoring the 9-9 tie at 24 seconds left on the display. Then Team Azur Entente has taken the gold medal at the shootouts: after such as 16 penalties, Monegasque goalkeeper save the decisive shot, starting the celebrations of the winners. Therefore the final score is 14-13.

However we have also to celebrate the fair play of Patras Dias, team who participating in HaBaWaBa International Festival for their first time: at the end of the match, all the Greek players, coach and staff jump into the pool along with the winners. That’s the real HaBaWaBa spirit!

Therefore the Team Azur Entente are the champions, while Patras Dias take the silver medal. Both the semifinalists, Italian Savona U9 and Hungarian KSI Blue Dolphins, reach the 3rd place.
