Bogliasco, one of the best Italian waterpolo academy, will be among the participants in the new HaBaWaBa Plus U13’s women tournament. Therefore the event scheduled on June (from 24th to 30th) at the Bella Italia & EFA Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro will count on a prestigious protagonist. Indeed Bogliasco has won 7 “Trofeo del Giocatore” in a row: it’s the award that Italian Federation assigns to the club which get the best results among all the youth categories; Bogliasco’s women waterpolo academy won 6 Italian championships counting U19, U17 and U15 categories. In Lignano a real top team will arrive: the Bogliasco U13 female team will be led by coach Rossella Rogondino, 20, who is also a player of the senior team. “It’s important to participate in HaBaWaBa Plus U13 – she told us -. Bogliasco works a lot on young players and bringing our girls to Lignano will be a great opportunity for them to grow. I coach a group of very good and very polite girls, HaBaWaBa will be an exceptional experience for them”.
What do you think about the new women tournament at HaBaWaBa Plus U13?
I think it’s a great idea, it will allow U13 female teams to challenge opponents from different Italian regions and foreign countries. It’s an important innovation that expands our horizons, especially because the U13 Italian league is played at the regional level.
Are your players happy to come to Lignano?
They are excited: they kept asking me for days if I had sent our registration. They know that HaBaWaBa Plus U13 will give a boost to their growth as athletes and as persons: I think they are happy especially because they will spend a whole week all together, as a real team.
Have you ever attended a HaBaWaBa event?
I was at the last HaBaWaBa International Festival as coach of U11 team: that was an unique experience. I had so many children to manage, but it represented a real enrichment as a coach. HaBaWaBa allows you to understand a lot about the players you’re training.
Do you think Bogliasco can win the tournament?
Historically, Bogliasco always tries to win. However, we will go to Lignano just for our girls.
