From Eastern Europe to South America. HaBaWaBa expands its borders more and more: waiting for the 1st edition of HaBaWaBa Belarus (in Brest, on September from 19th to 22nd), Waterpolo Development is pleased to announce that in 2020 Brazil will also have its own stage of the HaBaWaBa International Circuit. The event will be held in Bauru, in the state of Sao Paulo.

HaBaWaBa Brazil will be organized by ABDA, an association that has been participating in the HaBaWaBa International Festival for years and that has long hoped to bring “the game of the ball in the water” to its country. The event will be hosted in December 2020 at the ABDA Arena pool (above in the picture): participation is open 13U teams coming from South and Central America.

“Bringing HaBaWaBa to Latin America and Brazil is very important”: words of Claudio Zopone, the philanthropist who created ABDA, association that promotes sport among young people in need. “We are talking about the biggest waterpolo event for children in the world – continued Zopone -. The philosophy of Waterpolo Development is the same as ABDA’s and is focused on using sport as an educational tool, preserving the right to dream of our children. HaBaWaBa Brasil is the result of our persistence, we have shown that nothing is impossible when we act with commitment and love”.
